Kids Love Flag Football!
With all the excitement of tackle football, but not the same risk of injury, flag football has become the youth sport of choice among parents who wonder whether kids should play tackle football. Why risk the injuries? Choose flag football instead. For 14 years, we have run the best youth flag football programs in Central Florida. We offer a fun and nurturing environment, where kids learn the great life lessons of team sports – camaraderie, teamwork, overcoming challenges, winning and losing gracefully – experiences they will remember for the rest of their lives.
Why Mosquito Sports?
Since 2004, we have focused on one goal: delivering the best youth flag football programs anywhere. We don't offer other sports; we are crazy about flag football. At last count we had more than 15,000 games under our belt, so we have have this thing down to a science. Our officials are all experienced grown-ups. Our games run on time. Our fields are top-notch. Our coaches are knowledgeable and passionate. If there is something you need to know, we make sure you get the memo. We return your messages, and try our best to accommodate any special requests. Give us a try, and you will see the difference that our professionalism makes.
How Do Your Programs Work?
We keep it simple. You pay a flat fee, and your child gets a full season of great experiences. You bring shorts, shoes, and a mouth piece, and we provide the rest, including an official Mosquito Sports jersey, referees, field space, awards, and everything else needed for a quality program. We don't nickel and dime you for anything else, and we don't require volunteer time (unless you just want to, of course). Your child is placed on a team, which practices once or twice a week, then plays a game each weekend for 7 weeks. At the end of the season, everyone takes home a medal or a trophy. What could be easier?
What is Flag Football?
Flag football gives every child the chance to be an impact player. Modeled after regular football, teams run or pass the ball down field to score a touchdown. But flag football is a “non-contact” game. Instead of tackling the ball carrier, defensive players must pull a flag off the ball carrier’s belt. Games are divided into two 20-minute halves and last just under an hour. Each team has only 5 players on the field at a time, so everyone contributes, and the action is rapid-fire. The game is a blast to play, and it's even fun to watch!
